By Adam Barone-- Last week we were the only ones not surprised when the Niners took down the Jets. Told ya so. This week, however, is the week to finally go against San Francisco.

What, you say? You’re tired of the 49ers?

No one cares. You’re probably not tired of winning money so quit your whining.

The Niners are an up-and-coming team, yes, but don’t be two steps behind like everyone else. This is not their week. Think about it. Week 12 San Francisco flew to Dallas, a team they had plenty of trouble keeping up with. Then they flew back home, only to spend week 13 at Buffalo. That’s all the way across the entire country.

Then in week 14, last week, they went back home to play the Jets, another challenging opponent.

The 49ers will continue their zig-zagging ways this week, again flying all the way across the country to play the Dolphins. Prior to the 49ers snapping the streak in Buffalo, west coast teams were 0-14 when traveling to the east coast this season. Expect them to only break that streak once.

Also important—Frank Gore, their best player, is out for this week’s game. Shaun Hill and DeShaun Foster, though their names may interest you if you’re easily amused, can’t carry the load all on their own.

The Dolphins are fighting for a playoff spot at the same time, and will put everything they have into this game.
