The 2010 version of college football’s biggest rivalry will boast only crimson domination of maze and blue at the Horseshoe. Bet the Buckeyes to crush the Wolverines and cover 16.5 points.

The stats tell the story of the Wolverine’s ineptitude:

They’ve failed to cover in six straight contests.

Ohio State crushed them like bugs in their last meeting in Columbus in 2008, 42-7.

The Buckeyes have won the last five meetings, and eight of the last nine.

The Maze and Blue allow a pathetic 33.5 points per game, including concessions of 65 to Illinois, 35 to Indiana, and 37 to Massachusetts.

The Buckeyes, on the other hand, have allowed more than 20 points just twice this season, surrendering 24 to Miami and 31 to Wisconsin. Neither game was at home.

The favorite has covered four of the last five spreads in this tilt, while the Wolverines have covered in just one of the last six clashes between these old foes.

Michigan, against the spread, is also 1-5 in road games, 1-5 as an underdog, 4-22 against the Big Ten, and 0-6 against teams with winning records.

Ohio State has covered the number in 11 of 12 games as a home favorite, 13 of 16 home games, 12 of 16 games against teams with winning records, and 37 of 52 conference games.

Ohio State, ranked eighth in the AP Poll, is driven to make an impression on voters, while Michigan has no such motivation.

Don’t sweat Denard Robinson. Ohio State’s athletic linebackers should be able to keep him somewhat contained.
